KUALA LUMPUR - Theatre group Electric Minds Project is staging a play entitled A Light in KL City this Christmas week at KLPAC, Pentas II.

The play is set in downtown Kuala Lumpur in an old hotel just as the lights are being snuffed out. When the day comes to a close and dawn rises, the hotel will be closed and the jack-hammers will come down.

From the carefully crafted dialogue, the play recounts, through the characters, the history and culture of Malaysia through the ages.

Marked for demolition

The hotel is marked for demolition and the characters, who live there must find a way to break out, because when it comes down, they can either go down with it and be lost as well or find the light within themselves to guide them.
