KUALA LUMPUR - Beyonce's concert on Oct 25 has been deferred.

The new date is expected to be announced in the next few days.

Organiser Marctensia Sdn Bhd apologised for the delay and said it was a decision made by Beyonce’s Artiste Management, Music World.

Beyonce cancelled her 2007 concert in Malaysia because of PAS opposition and threat of protests. Marctensia refused to elaborate on the reason for the current postponement.

The concert was part of Beyonce's "I am..." world tour, which covered North America and Europe.

The organiser has previously said local authorities had given Beyonce the go-ahead to hold the concert here after she had agreed to tone down her dressing.

Ticket-holders who wish to get a refund can do so between Oct 26 and Nov 14 at Ticket Axcess head office in Petaling Jaya.
